When searching for the right childcare for her children, Telena found that many nurseries felt too large and impersonal, while childminders often lacked the space and resources for a rich learning environment.
This experience inspired her to create Brainy Bugs, a unique nursery that combines the intimacy of home care with the learning opportunities of a well-equipped preschool.
Telena’s deep commitment to fostering children’s self-esteem, resilience, and sense of identity shines through her work, including her co-authored children’s book Ava’s Magical Hair Adventure. She is also a founding board member of The I AM Foundation charity, which celebrates diversity and self-acceptance for young girls.
Her mission with Brainy Bugs is to provide a nurturing space where every child feels valued, understood, and supported to thrive in their own unique way.
